Reporter Jill Carroll Is Freed From Captivity in Iraq

Christian Science Monitor reporter Jill Carroll has been freed after nearly three months in captivity in Iraq. Most people would see this as good news. Just wait, by the end of the day Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and the entire right-wing blogosphere will start to trash Carroll. You know, because kidnappings aren't part of the "good news stories" about Iraq that the right thinks the media should cover. Hell, right wingers trashed Carroll when she was first taken due to her articles that were sympathetic to ordinary Iraqis who objected to America's presence there. Right-wingers are such mean, hateful people.

UPDATE: The trashing of Jill Carroll has just begun. National Review is the first out of the gate.
