Obama Hits The Big O

Attention Nebraska Democrats: Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) will be hitting Omaha and delivering a key address at the 2006 Morrision-Exon Dinner this May 6. There will be a special, VIP meet-and-greet event first, followed by a general reception, and then the dinner. The cost of the dinner is $125, and it costs an additional $250 for VIP status.

The fundraiser will be held at the Hilton in Omaha (10th & Cass). To reserve a spot, please click here or on the picture of Senator Obama.

In other political news, don't forget about the candidacy of Jim Esch. He is running for the 2nd district Congressional seat (currently occupied by Lee Terry). If there was ever a chance to give this seat to the Dems, it is this year. Terry is nothing more than a rubber-stamp, Bush toadie who does little for his home district. His district includes Omaha, which is not full of bible-thumping, saber rattling, Bush worshippers. There are some of those types, but the district is pretty evenly divided and I'd like to see that reflected in this year's election results.
